Typical Day at our Portugal Bootcamp

Imagine waking up to a gorgeous sunrise, with a group of like-minded individuals all ready to embrace a day full of energy, focus, and relaxation. Our retreats are not just about fitness; they’re a chance to recharge, make new friends, and enjoy a balanced approach to wellness. Here’s a look at what you can expect during a typical day on one of our retreats, whether you’re joining us in the UK or Portugal!
7:30 AM – Morning Wake-Up Call and Fitness Kick-off
We start the day bright and early to make the most of each moment! You’ll wake up to gentle stretches or a quick walk around the grounds, taking in the fresh air and natural beauty surrounding us. After a bit of quiet time, we jump into a morning workout, often starting with something invigorating like an interval run, cardio circuit or a wake-up yoga session to get the blood flowing. This first workout session is all about setting a positive tone for the day—giving you that rush of energy to carry you through whatever comes next.
Our trainers guide you every step of the way, offering options for all fitness levels, so whether you’re a beginner or a fitness enthusiast, you’ll find the morning sessions both refreshing and manageable.
8:30 AM – Nutritious Breakfast
After the morning workout, it’s time to refuel with a healthy breakfast that’s been carefully designed to support your fitness goals and energize you for the rest of the day. You’ll enjoy dishes packed with nutrients, such as smoothie bowls loaded with fresh fruits and seeds, overnight oats, or protein-packed Greek yogurt parfaits. Breakfast is served as a relaxed meal, where everyone sits together, shares their experiences so far, and looks forward to the day’s activities.
9:00 AM – Workshops
Once breakfast wraps up, we gather for a workshop. These sessions vary, with topics like goal setting, nutritional coaching, stress management, or mindset practices. Led by our experienced trainers and coaches, each workshop is interactive and designed to provide valuable insights that you can carry home. Past participants have found these sessions incredibly empowering, giving them fresh motivation and a toolkit of new strategies to apply to everyday life.
10:00 AM – Fitness Sessions by the Pool
Mid-morning is when we dive into targeted fitness sessions, which might include HIIT, Boxing, Strength Training, or Pilates. Set up poolside or in a scenic outdoor area, these sessions are high-energy and tailored to help you feel your best. Our trainers keep things fun, often mixing things up with team challenges or partner exercises to keep everyone motivated and connected.
This session allows you to push your limits a bit while enjoying a breath-taking view. And don’t worry, we always incorporate plenty of rest breaks and hydration reminders to keep everyone feeling great!
1 PM – Lunch & Relaxation Time
A delicious lunch awaits, featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients prepared to deliver the perfect balance of nutrients. Think vibrant salads, whole grains, lean proteins, and lots of colour on your plate!
After lunch, it’s relaxation time. Some people take a dip in the pool, read a book, hit the beach, take a trip into town, or even treat themselves to a luxurious massage. This free time is an opportunity to unwind, socialise, or just enjoy a bit of solitude in the beautiful surroundings.
5:00 PM – Evening Fitness & Core Stretch
The evening session is typically more relaxed and focuses on core work and flexibility. We might have a Pilates session, a stretching routine, or even a gentle yoga session by the pool. This session is about unwinding from the day’s activities and giving your muscles a well-deserved stretch.
This session has a peaceful vibe, often accompanied by beautiful sunset views that add a unique, calming touch to the end of your day’s hard work.
7:00 PM – Delicious Dinner and Social Time
Dinner is a highlight, with a delicious, wholesome meal prepared by our chef. You’ll enjoy dishes that are both healthy and satisfying, perhaps a colourful Buddha bowl or a Mediterranean-inspired platter, all crafted with care and attention to nutrition.
As everyone sits down together, you’ll hear laughter, stories, and reflections on the day. It’s a great opportunity to form new friendships and share what you’ve learned or enjoyed most. Some participants say the bonds formed at dinner are one of the best parts of the retreat, creating lasting friendships and shared memories.
8:00 PM – Wind Down and Reflect
As the day draws to a close, many of our participants enjoy a quiet moment of reflection. This is your chance to look back on your day with a sense of accomplishment, having moved, stretched, relaxed, and connected with a community of positive, supportive people.
